"Sun Bath"

"Sun Bath"
12" x 16" Pastel Original

This is my latest painting that took me a little over a month... I worked on it several hours every day. This is a Great Egret residing at the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge in Northern California. I want to give a shout-out to Frank Kratofil for letting me use his great photo for my reference.

  3. A lot of people (not artists)are wondering why an artist spend so much time on a picture and why is the picture so expensive, but they never ask how long will take to reach a certain effect or texture,or a shade.... I like your "Sun Bath": it's fresh and elegant.
