"Evening Scout"

"Evening Scout"

9" x 12" original

I have completed my newest painting of Comanche... the ambassador of Never Cry Wolf Rescue and Adoption. I thought I'd throw my hat into the ring by entering into the Pastel Society of America's art competition this year and this is my entry!!

  3. This is stunning. I work in pastel but have not achieved such fine fur work as you have in this portrait. What do you use to get the fine hairs around the edge?

  4. This is gorgeous! Are you still doing the regular Northern California craft circuit? I'm thinking of getting back into a few shows but I am SO out of practice.

  5. Hi Sally! Thank you so much for your great comment. I use CarbOthello pastel pencils and you'll want to grab up the X-ACTO Powerhouse pencil sharpener. You can get such a fine point with this sharpener. I have enjoyed viewing your work in the past, wonderful!!!

  12. Hi Sandy! Thank you!! He was a beautiful wolf and I was so fortunate to be able to have hands on with him. He was very gentle and big! Until you stand next to a wolf you can't really comprehend their size. Thanks so much for your well wishes!!
